I welcome you to USEFP's website.
At USEFP, we want to help Pakistani students, scholars, teachers, and professionals avail a variety of higher education opportunities in the U.S.
We are currently administering five academic exchange programs, including the world's largest Fulbright program. Fulbright, named for its founder the late Senator J. William Fulbright, is the flagship academic exchange program of the U.S. Department of State. With generous funding from United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in 2012, we are able to send about 150 students on Master's and PhD programs to many of the best universities in the U.S. In addition, we are sending about 50 undergraduate students for a semester of study in the U.S. on the Global UGRAD Program. We are proud that all of our programs are merit-based and our selection processes fair and transparent.
For students seeking advice and assistance in applying to colleges and universities in the United States, USEFP offers free educational advising services in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi. I would urge anyone considering study abroad to learn more about why the U.S. is a great destination for higher education. You will find all sorts of useful information on the USEFP and EducationUSA websites.
For our U.S. partners, I hope you will be able to learn more about Pakistan and its student population from this website. We also offer a range of academic exchange opportunities for U.S. scholars interested in visiting Pakistan, details of which are also available on our site.
USEFP is a bi-national commission guided by a Board of Directors composed of an equal number of Pakistani and U.S. citizens all working to promote mutual understanding between the people of the two countries through educational and cultural exchange. I am proud to be part of it.
